'Then Agrippa said to Paul, “Do you think that in such a short time you can persuade me to be a Christian?” Paul replied, “Short time or long—I pray to God that not only you but all who are listening to me today may become what I am, except for these chains.” ' Acts 26:28-29
for me it took a while to turn my life over to Jesus. not because i wasn’t convinced or believed what i was hearing was true. it was purely out of selfishness and wanting to live an ungodly life - sex, drugs, chasing after money, etc. these things are and will never be in alignment with The Truth, The Word of God. as agrippa said “in such a short time”, while i cannot go back in time and undo things, there is a part of me that wish i had waken up much sooner.
my hope is that from now to The Lord takes me home, i would be able to be used in persuading others to come to Jesus. of course, not of my doing, but through the Power of the Holy Spirit and Life Altering Encounter with Christ. to be given the opportunity to have deep, meaningful conversations with people i love, and even those whom i just met, to share with them who He is and what He has done in my life.
Father God, please allow me to be used to share of who your Son, Jesus, is and why we have hope in Him, why we don’t fear things as we once did. whether in a short time or longer encounter, please open the hearts of those you’ve placed in my life to speak to and with. guide me through your Holy Spirit when making contact, engage in deep discussions, to move someone closer to their relationship with you. may you always be glorified. in Jesus name i pray, amen!
