Why Pray?

how important is it really…

to begin with, some version of prayer is mentioned over 600 times in the king james version, over 300 times in the english standard version, according to a simple search online. regardless of which version you read or reference, it is a lot, so it would be fair to say it is very important for us to do.

here are different “reasons” or examples or types of prayers, not by importance or ranking, simply a list of the whys:

1. communications - between God and us

2. thanksgiving - letting God know how much we are grateful for_______ fill in the blank

3. worship - honoring and glorifying God/Jesus for who He is and not only for what He does for us, our family, our lives

4. petition - whether healing, protection, provision, etc.
