Trusting God Always

in God we trust

matthew 6:32-33 nlt

S - 32 These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs. 33 Seek the Kingdom of God. above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.

psalm 111:5 nlt

S - He gives food to those who fear him; he always remembers his covenant.

O - i lived out my life for a time where i relied solely on myself, believing that “if it is to be, it is up to me,” which was a big fat lie. trying to blame media - music, news, publications, etc., while it may have had some influence, is a copout for the poor, selfish choices i made. a lot of terrible decisions were made simply because i worried how i was going to be able to - pay the bills, feed myself and my family, keep a roof over our heads, and more negative thoughts.

the big fat untruth is that if you are a believer, worrying means you are choosing not to trust God, or as some have phrased it - is a form of atheism. it is not Biblical and leads to nothing but disappointments in the end.

A - as i have looked back on my previous life on many occasions and how my life has gone with my walk with Jesus, my family and i have never been without even when the situation looked dire. in some ways it is now with my finances, yet i refuse to waiver because i know His promises are true and have seen it with my own eyes and am confident He will see us through this time as well.

P - dear Heavenly Father, please help me that i won’t become that atheist who doesn’t believe in your existence, that we can’t put our trust in someone we don’t see, and that whatever situation i’m facing i’m at it alone and must handle everything myself. thank you for your Son, Jesus, who gave His life for mines and that is far and way above a price paid than for whatever i’ve asked for your help with. may that sacrifice never be forgotten nor taken for granted. please provide me help in trusting you with 100% of our lives. in Jesus’ mighty and powerful name i pray, amen!
